Seattle Biofuels changes name

May 1, 2006

According to founder John Plaza, Seattle Biofuels in Washington has changed its name to Imperium Renewables. Plaza said the change was necessary to expand the company's reach both geographically and product-wise. The company, which oversees biodiesel producer Seattle Biodiesel, will first look at producing biodiesel in other regions domestically and abroad before branching out into other renewable products, such as hydrogen from biodiesel (see BIObytes).
