Australian algae technology developer Algae.Tec announced it has received additional works orders from India’s Reliance Group, increasing the size and scope of its original contract by $1.14 million.

The orders are for detailed engineering services and the supply of equipment for the latest innovations in Algae.Tec’s technology and to assist with the completion and commissioning of the pilot algae plant being built at the world’s largest oil refinery in Jamnagar, India.

“The contract and relationship with Reliance is going extremely well with all of the original elements for the plant in Jamnagar now on-site,” said Peter Hatfull, Algae.Tec’s managing director. “These new orders show the success of the relationship with Reliance and the continuing development of the technology.”
