American Electric Technologies Inc. has appointed Charles Dauber as president of its flagship business M&I Electric Industries Inc. Headquartered in Houston, AETI is a supplier of custom-designed power delivery solutions for the wind, geothermal and biomass industries, as well as traditional energy industries.

The company is in the process of reorganizing and, according to spokeswoman Lena Clark, AETI can't disclose details of major biomass projects currently underway due to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regulations.

Dauber's appointment is part of the company's new organizational structure being spearheaded by Chief Executive Officer Arthur Dauber to accelerate the company's growth.

As president of M&I, Charles Dauber will be responsible for technical products and services, as well as the company's electrical and instrumentation construction activities. Charles Dauber, who has more than 18 years of executive, marketing and sales management experience, previously served as director of M&I from 1993 to 1995 and was AETI vice president in 2007. Prior to joining AETI, he served as president and CEO of Nevis Networks, where he secured more than $30 million in venture capital funding and successfully led the company's product development and global launch.
