Calumet Inc. announced on Oct. 16 that the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office has awarded a conditional commitment for a loan guarantee of up to $1.44 billion to fund SAF capacity expansion at Montana Renewables LLC.

Honeywell on Oct. 15 announced that St1 has started using Honeywell’s Ecofining technology to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at its biorefinery in Gothenburg, Sweden. The facility will produce 200,000 tons of renewable fuels annually.
