Albemarle Corporation launches new biodiesel program
November 10, 2006
Albemarle Corporation, a worldwide producer of antioxidant technology for fuels, lubricants and polymers, has launched a new program to support the biodiesel industry. The company, based in Richmond, Va., now produces five unique Ethanox-branded antioxidants that can be added to biodiesel blends in order to stabilize the fuel and prevent deposit formation in diesel engines. Albemarle has produced antioxidant technology for more than 50 years, and started working on biodiesel stabilization early last year as part of its programs in Europe, according to John McChesney, global business manager for Albemarle.
