ASA transitions executive leadership

August 1, 2006

Official elections for the American Soybean Association (ASA) executive committee were held July 11. Bob Metz, a soybean producer from West Browns Valley, S.D., transitioned from president to chairman. Richard Ostlie, a soybean producer from Northwood, N.D., was installed as president-the first from North Dakota. He was previously the first vice president. ASA executive officers follow a leadership chain from first vice president to president to chairman.
