Auto club members look to set biodiesel speed record

July 1, 2006

Six members from the Ford EXP & Lincoln LN7 Owners Club are modifying a small manufacturer's diesel engine to power a 1986 EXP exclusively on B100, in hopes of setting a land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats in the Biodiesel G/GT Class. According to club administrator Tony Landi, the group needs $5,000 to finish the vehicle modifications before attempting to exceed 100 mph in the biodiesel-powered EXP.
