Aventine expands ethanol storage capacity

February 9, 2007

Aventine Renewable Energy Holdings Inc. is expanding its ethanol storage capacity in Missouri, in anticipation of an ethanol mandate that will go into effect in that state in 2008. Aventine is adding four new ethanol storage terminals to the two it already owns in Missouri. Aventine declined to release any other details about the expansion for competitive reasons, according to Les Nelson, Aventine's director of investor relations. Aventine currently operates 47 ethanol terminals across the United States.
