A week from Tuesday, I’ll be hopping on a plane to the Northeast Biomass Heating Expo in Burlington, Vermont. I’ll start the trip off with a biomass boiler bus tour that I’m really looking forward to. Oftentimes at conferences a person doesn’t see the light of day, so this is a great opportunity to not only get out and take in some of the scenery, but to visit several biomass energy system installations throughout the area.
The day I return—March 31—the U.S. EPA Scientific Advisory Board will hold a public meeting for a review of its draft its biogenic carbon accounting framework. It’s unclear if the meeting will be accessible via phone, but I’ll check into it and update this blog soon.

Really good timing and just one week later, on April 7 the EPA will hold a workshop on the role of biomass in the Clean Power Plan. A draft agenda was released this week, and this event will be accessible to remote attendees. You can register to partake by webinar in person here.
And finally, Biomass Magazine’s prom and a must-attend event, the International Biomass Conference & Expo, begins April 11 in Charlotte, North Carolina. On top of the conference and two different sets of tours, we have added two new colocated events, the On-Site Energy Conference & Expo, and the Global Pellet Market Outlook Summit.
Needless to say, it’s going to be a very busy and interesting month. You know where you can find the most up-to-date info on it all.

And if you’re going to be at either of the aforementioned events, I would love to hear from you.
