Buckman consolidates Asia, Africa operations

Buckman Laboratories, an international specialty chemical company, has consolidated operations in Africa and Asia. It came after the retirement of Waldie Jooste, managing director in South Africa, according to a company press release.
Officials at the company's Memphis, Tenn., headquarters put the Asia and Africa offices under the leadership of General Manager Leigh Mann. Effective immediately, all sales managers of the two Buckman companies reported directly to Mann.
New positions were created to handle the day-to-day operations at the two locations. R. Ashok was made general manager of Buckman Laboratories Asia and Junai Maharaj was appointed general manager of Buckman Laboratories South Africa. Both men also report directly to Mann.
