Colorado Built Green Program includes biodiesel

December 1, 2004

Effective Jan. 1, 2005, B20 counts toward Built Green designation in Colorado. The Built Green Checklist is a voluntary homebuilders program that includes energy efficiency requirements and a menu of "green" items from which a builder must select a minimum number to gain the environmentally friendly designation. Over 25,000 buildings have received the designation since its inception in 1995. Aspen Homes of Colorado was the first company to start using biodiesel, according to Built Green's Ken Slattery.
