The USDA has submitted an information collection request (ICR) to the White House Office of Management and Budget focused on cellulosic production volume projections and efficient producer reporting.

According to information published in the Federal Register, public comments were originally sought on the matter in March 2015. The notice posted on July 22, 2016, allows for an additional 30 days for public comment. The comment period ends Aug. 22.

Within the notice, the EPA explains it is seeking to collect information from potential cellulosic biofuel producers to aid in determining annual volume standards. The agency would also like to use a data form to collect information from certain producers and importers who have requested and been approved to use an efficient producer pathway under the renewable fuel standard (RFS).
