California-based Fluid Components International LLC, a supplier of flow meter solutions for traditional and alternative energy process controls, as well as pollution and environmental management applications, has reported the release of a new applications guide.
The 12-page document, titled "Specifying Gas Flow Meters in Green Energy and Pollution Reduction," profiles nine green energy and pollution applications and provides solutions to challenges associated with achieving accurate and reliable gas flow measurements within each of them.
Application categories include ethanol production and refining, coal mine methane, on-farm digesters and biogas systems, landfill gas measurement, biomass fermentation and recovery, and anaerobic digesters.
According to the company, the guide highlights critical factors that process and plant engineers must consider to achieve optimum flow meter performance, to minimize maintenance and to ensure long service life. Each application is individually detailed and illustrated in the guide.
