Genera Energy Inc., a leading biomass supply company that supplies biomass feedstocks for the advanced biofuels, biopower, and biochemical industries, recently celebrated 1,533 days, or four years, without an accident.

To celebrate this important achievement, the company hosted a dinner for employees and presented them with jackets to recognize their diligence in helping maintain its accident free status.

“We believe it is extremely important to recognize everyone on our team for their efforts to maintain an accident free workplace,” said Kelly Tiller, president and CEO. “It takes deliberate effort from everyone in the company to ensure the safety of themselves and each other.”

Genera’s turn-key biomass supply chain management services involve performing industrial agricultural production, harvesting, transport, milling, and material handling operations. While agriculture has long been recognized as one of the most dangerous industries, recent U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data show that Genera’s core operations intersect three of the 10 most deadly occupations in the U.S.

“From long hours working with heavy industrial and farm equipment to fine milling dust exposure to agricultural chemical exposure, operating safely requires constant focus and attention from all employees,” said Keith Brazzell, chief operating officer.
