ICM Inc. announced today that it has reduced its workforce by 25 employees effective immediately.
“The decision to make staffing reductions is extremely difficult, and it is one that is not taken lightly,” said Dave Vander Griend, ICM CEO. “Our staff has been the foundation of what we’ve achieved as a company over the years. During the past several years however, volatile grain markets and project financing conditions combined with commodity market speculation has affected our domestic project portfolio. Our efforts in recent years focused on developing various products/services and conducting retrofits to existing ethanol plants to make them operate more efficiently and profitably for our customers.”
We are adjusting the company’s business model by investing in our technology platform strategy and delivery of new bolt-on services while accelerating our global expansion efforts to secure long-term growth for ICM, said Chris Mitchell, ICM President.
“ICM remains committed to the long-term growth opportunities of the company and the renewable energy industry as a whole,” continued Vander Griend.
