IRFA gives second round of grants

March 1, 2006

The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association announced its second round of Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Grants from the Iowa Values Fund. The program helps gasoline retailers offset the infrastructure cost of making E85 available to the public. 218 Fuel Express in Floyd, Iowa, received $20,000 to install new E85 fueling equipment, while Star Energy in Fort Dodge got $7,500 to upgrade an existing pump to E85. In February, EPM reported seven gasoline stations were given grants in the first round of funding.
