Range Fuels Inc. has appointed Greg King to its board of directors.
Range Fuels focuses on green energy and the production of cellulosic ethanol using biomass that can't be used for food, is sustainable, renewable and in excess supply. The company's innovative technology converts renewable and sustainable biomass, such as wood chips, paper pulp, and olive pits, into ethanol.
King brings a 15-year track record in the refining and marketing industry to the company. He currently serves as president of GCK Ventures LLC, a private consulting firm. Previously, King worked for Valero, North America's largest refining company, as its chief operating officer and general counsel, and most recently as its president.
While at Valero, King was a key architect in transforming Valero from a regional natural gas pipeline and liquids company with a single refinery to the largest refining company in North America.
"Greg's extensive experience in the oil refining business and expertise in transportation fuels logistics will greatly enhance our board of directors' already deep-rooted understanding of the evolving energy landscape," said Range Fuels' Chief Executive Officer Mitch Mandich.
