Masada donates TVA biomass equipment to university

Birmingham, Ala.-based Masada Resource Group LLC donated biomass pilot plant facilities and equipment that it recently purchased from the Tennessee Valley Authority, the nation's largest public power company, to Auburn University in Auburn, Ala. The school will serve as Masada's exclusive research and development platform, concurrently utilizing and refining a unique proprietary fractionation process from Ft. Lupton, Colo.-based PureVision Technology Inc. The platform seeks to enhance the conversion of municipal solid waste into ethanol, according to Masada Chief Executive Officer Donald Watkins.
