Metabolix named 2010 Technology Pioneer

To be selected as a Technology Pioneer by the WEF, a company must be involved in the development of a life-changing technology innovation and have the potential for long-term impact on business and society. In addition, it must demonstrate visionary leadership and show all the signs of a long-standing and sustainable market leader, and its technology must be proven. The Technology Pioneers program is the WEF's means of identifying and integrating those companies around the world that are involved in the design and development of new technologies. The forum's objective is to identify and address future-oriented issues on the global agenda and to further its commitment to improving the state of the world
