Michigan ethanol plant lands carbon dioxide offtake deal

The Andersons Albion Ethanol LLC, an ethanol plant owned by The Andersons Inc., announced in late 2006 that it had entered a supply agreement with Continental Carbonic Products Inc. (CCP), a dry ice manufacturer and distributor near Albion, Mich. Under the agreement, The Andersons Albion Ethanol supplies CCP with carbon dioxide, a coproduct from its 55 MMgy ethanol production process, in order for CCP to make dry ice. CCP has been in full production since Dec. 1, according to CCP Vice President of Business Development Dave Butts.
