New York City Parks Named Fleet of the Year
Fleet Owner Magazine recognized New York City Department of Parks and Recreation as vocational Fleet of the Year. The parks department Green Fleet features more than 1,400 vehicles that use a range of alternative fuels including B20. The fleet has also been featured in Government Fleet magazine and the national Parks & Recreation magazine. "More than half the parks department 2,300 vehicles use alternative energy from solar, to biodiesel, to hybrid to electric. As the nation's 'greenest' municipal fleet, we're serious about minimizing our impact on the environment," said parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe.

South Sound Intercity Transit Named Best Transit System
The American Public Transportation Association's best medium-sized transit system in the U.S. runs its fleet of 99 buses on biodiesel blends. South Sound Intercity Transit in Washington serves the cities of Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater and Yelm.
