NBB, U of Idaho share education grant

In early October, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) gave a total of $960,000 in grant funds to the National Biodiesel Board (NBB) and the University of Idaho to conduct a biodiesel fuel education campaign, according to a USDA press release.

The NBB received $770,000 to develop a public education program primarily aimed at enticing government organizations and businesses to use biodiesel in their fleets. The University of Idaho was given $190,000 to provide technical support for the program.

In all, the NBB will receive $770,000 for five years, including 2003, totalling $3.85 million.
