NCDA explores biodiesel use in Minnesota

The Northstar Corridor Development Authority (NCDA) is considering using biodiesel for its proposed Northstar Commuter Rail line. The 40-mle project is waiting for funding to formally begin final design by Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc., according to Tim Yantos, NCDA executive director. A preliminary report is expected by late spring. The Minnesota Prairie Line, a short-line railroad, announced in late 2004 it would use B2 in its fleet on 330 miles of track in southern Minnesota.
