New Generation introduces new biofuel

New Generation Biofuels Holding Inc. landed its first heating customer-Taunton State Hospital in Taunton, Mass.-in a bid to introduce a new renewable fuel produced via its proprietary emulsification process. The feedstock-neutral process combines water and additives to atomize feedstocks in a stable emulsion. The biofuel resembles straight vegetable oil more so than a methyl ester, according to Chief Marketing Officer Phil Wallis. The company is transferring its pilot facility to a site at the Atlantic Terminal port in Baltimore and expects its 25 MMgy plant to be operational in April.
