Clean Burn Fuels LLC, the first corn based ethanol producer in North Carolina, has partnered with Perdue AgriBusiness Inc. Perdue will now source nearly 20 million bushels of corn as feedstock, and merchandise approximately 175,000 tons of distillers grains from the plant.

"Clean Burn has invested more than $100 million in plant and infrastructure. We are proud that we have brought jobs and significant tax dollars to the country," said Kirk Bradley, Chairman of Clean Burn Fuels. "We are pleased that Perdue AgriBusiness will be working with us. They bring agricultural experience and market knowledge to our business."

Perdue will purchase the corn mostly from local farmers and receive the rest via rail from the Midwest. The DDG coproduct will go to area feed mills at North Carolina hog, turkey and chicken operations.

"Clean Burn Fuels and Perdue Agribusiness working together is an excellent fit," said Dick Willey, president of Perdue Agribusiness. "Both companies are committed to renewable fuels; both are committed to farmers and agriculture in North Carolina.

The Clean Burn Fuels plant is located near Raeford, N.C.
