The National Renewable Energy Laboratory has now made its alternative fueling station locator, which is available on the U.S. DOE's Alternative Fuels and Advanced Vehicles Data Center Web site, accessible by cell phone, Blackberry or other personal digital assistant.

The too, which provides information collected from the data center over the past 14 years, serves as a locator of alternative fuel stations and an international database of verified public and private fuel locations offering biodiesel, E85, compressed natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, electricity, hydrogen and liquefied natural gas.

The new cell phone and Blackberry option allows for vehicle operators to track the five nearest alternative fuel station offering their fuel of choice, and provides detailed driving instructions, station contact information and business hours.
