NREL releases 2004 Biodiesel Handling and Use Guidelines

October 1, 2004

The 2004 Biodiesel Handling and Use Guidelines is now available. This updated version of the popular industry publication features a "frequently asked questions" section, expanded "biodiesel basics" information and the most current blending information available.
Published by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), the document is a guide for those who blend, distribute, and use biodiesel and biodiesel blends. It is intended to help fleets and individual users, blenders, distributors and those involved in related activities understand procedures for handling and using biodiesel. NREL's Shaine Tyson said the recommendations of U.S. biodiesel producers and technical experts were taken into account when updating the publication.
The publication is free and available online at www.nrel.gov/vehiclesandfuels/npbf/feature_
guidelines.html.
