Piedmont Biofuels wins clean technology award

Piedmont Biofuels, a Pittsboro, N.C.-based co-op currently building a 1 MMgy biodiesel facility, received an award for its work in promoting clean technology at the fourth annual Sustainable North Carolina Awards Ceremony. The clean technology award is for cutting-edge technologies that build the infrastructure for sustainable products or services. Sustainable North Carolina (SNC) is a nonprofit focused on promoting and enabling practices that optimize economics, communities and natural systems. Today, SNC's mission is to be a catalyst for the widespread adoption of sustainable principles and practices by North Carolina businesses and communities.
