Portland, Ore., undergoes RFS initiatives

A new renewable fuels standard (RFS) for E10- and B5-blended fuels in Portland, Ore., is expected to go into effect July 1, which would affect all retail, cardlock and fleet retailers, according to Portland Senior Resource Consultant Specialist Michele Crim. The state has also proposed an RFS bill that would include a 50 percent tax credit for any investment in alternative energy infrastructures. The bill is expected to pass in a few months, Crim said.
