Happy Holidays from the team here at Biorefining magazine. Our office is closed tomorrow for the Holiday but we’ll be back at it first thing Monday morning.
We just finished wrapping up the January 2011 issue of Biorefining, which is at the print shop now.

The president of the Advanced Biofuels Association, Michael McAdams, gives a timely update on the passage of the biofuel tax credits in his Advanced Advocacy column for January, titled, “Washington’s Shotgun Wedding.”
Erin Voegele wrote a feature article on the growing number of trade associations in the biorefining sector and the effects the new dynamics have on the industries and their lobbying efforts.
Bryan Sims’ feature story is about biorefining companies going public, or not—while the move is right for some, it may not be what’s appropriate for others.

Lastly, Luke Geiver wrote a story on the breakout potential of some startups, and how the advanced biorefining winner’s platform has room for many different business models, from virtual companies to more conventional ones.
The issue should be hitting cyberspace and your desks soon. Until next week, enjoy the Holidays.
