Pro-Corn expands, adds Broin BPX technology

April 1, 2006

According to Broin Companies, the management company for Pro-Corn LLC near Preston, Minn., the ethanol plant is expanding annual production from 36 MMgy to 46 MMgy. The plant is also implementing Broin Companies' patent-pending Broin Project X (BPX) technology—a no-cook process—which the company states increases energy savings, improves conversion rates, improves the quality of DDGS and reduces emissions from the plant. The company expects no significant operational interruptions during expansion. Construction could begin in April.
