Despite legal action that sought to stop RiverWright Energy LLC from building an ethanol plant in Buffalo, N.Y., the company continues to move forward with financing and hopes to break ground this fall, according to Chief Executive Officer and President Greg Stevens.

A judge ruled in favor of RiverWright Energy on May 29 after a group called Citizens Against Environmental Injustice issued a civil lawsuit against the project, siting safety and environmental concerns. This was the second time State Supreme Court Justice Joseph Makowski ruled in RiverWright's favor after the citizen's group filed an appeal after his first decision.
