Saskatchewan Research Council to evaluate biodiesel

January 19, 2010

Over the next year, select Canadian producers will evaluate biodiesel's quality retention and performance in farming equipment and bulk storage facilities in all seasons including the coldest winter months, as part of a demonstration project led by the Saskatchewan Research Council in Regina. SRC said results from the study will assist in moving the federal government's renewable fuels regulation forward-it would require a 2 percent blend of biodiesel in the country's diesel and heating oil pool in 2012.
