Technip to handle French plant expansion

March 1, 2006

International design/build corporation Technip announced in early January that it will build a 100,000 tons-per-day processing unit for French biodiesel producer Diester Industrie. The unit, which will utilize Axens process technology, will be clipped onto the Diester Industrie's existing biodiesel plant near Compiègne, France, doubling its capacity. The project will be completed by July. Technip constructed a biodiesel plant in Rouen, France, 10 years ago and is currently building another unit in Sète, France.
