In May, Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen announced the recipients of the Feedstock Processing Demonstration Loan. Tennessee Soy Products Inc. in McMinnville, Tenn., received $500,000 to purchase a facility that its partner Alliance Biofuels will use for biodiesel production. Madison, Tenn.-based Freedom Biofuels Inc. received $250,000 to process soybeans into soy oil and meal in Robertson County, Tenn. NuOil Inc. in Counce, Tenn., received $250,000 to purchase additional equipment for soybeans used to make biodiesel.
