HOUSTON -
Weaver, one of the largest independent certified public accounting firms in the nation, announces the launching of an energy blog titled, "The Weaver Renewable and Clean Energy Source." This blog, located on the Weaver Web site at
www.weaverllp.com/energyblog, provides information about U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and other compliance-driven programs for businesses in the energy industry. Topics range from issues such as the E-15 Ruling to the finalizing of RFS2 to dealing with various related standards.
William A. "Bill" Newman, CPA and partner, and Wade Watson, CPA, CFE and partner, both with Assurance Services in Weaver's Houston office, post articles on a periodic basis that enlighten and inform readers on gasoline and transportation fuel regulations and how these regulations relate to conducting business in the energy industry.
"Offering this energy blog gives our current and potential clients additional and informative information as it becomes available," said John J. Mackel III, CPA, director of Energy Services and partner for Assurance Services. "We are proud that Bill and Wade will be able to assist those who read the blog in understanding these regulations and how to best prepare for and work with the issues they create."
