Brazil-based Vanguardo Agro finalizes sale of biodiesel plants


Vanguardo Agro SA recently announced financial results for the first quarter of 2012. As part of the announcement, the company noted that the sale of two of its biodiesel plants was completed in April. The plants are located in Nacional and Iraquara.

Healy Biodiesel works with Novozymes for enzymatic processing


Ben Healy, president, says his company has been testing the enzymatic process developed by Novozymes, and expects to roll out the technology on a commercial-scale within the next few months. The plant is expanding and moving locations in Sedgwick.

The International Energy Agency recently published "Tracking Clean Energy Progress," a progress report that stresses most clean energy technologies are not being deployed quickly enough. It was presented at the Clean Energy Ministerial in London.

Linde's glycerin-based hydrogen achieves certification


The certification was an important accomplishment, and was announced by Linde the same day the Hannover Messe 2012 trade show kicked off. Linde was the sole supplier of hydrogen for the fuel-cell vehicles organized by the Clean Energy Partnership.

U.S. DOE announced a three-part plan aimed at attracting more women to clean energy careers, and supporting their advancement into leadership positions at the Third Clean Energy Ministerial in London. The plan will help implement the C3E initiative.
