May US biodiesel output strong at 115 million gallons The U.S. EPA said June 21 that 114.9 million gallons of biodiesel were produced in May, reporting year-to-date production of nearly 445.9 million gallons through the end of May. Solazyme, Bunge break ground on renewable oil facility in Brazil Solazyme Inc. and Bunge Global Innovation LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bunge Ltd., announced they have broken ground on their JV project, a 100,000 metric ton renewable oil production facility adjacent to Bunge's Moema sugarcane mill in Brazil. 	Navy partners with Coast Guard for initial renewable diesel test The Navy provided U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Henry Blake (WLM 563) with a 50/50 blend of F-76 and hydroprocessed renewable diesel (HRD-76) on June 20 with the intent of examining the feasibility of using renewable diesel fuel in Coast Guard cutters. Azul conducts demonstration flight with Amyris biojet fuel The Embraer E195 jet operated by Azul and running on Amyris' biojet departed from Campinas Viracopos Airport, flew over Rio de Janeiro where the U.N.
