US biodiesel production on pace for record year Biodiesel refiners across the country have produced more than 636 million gallons through the end of June, the EPA reported July 25. REG releases Q2 financials; closes strongest quarter ever REG sold 69.2 million gallons of biodiesel in the second quarter, an increase of 28 percent compared to the second quarter of 2012. Neste Oil adds corn oil to feedstock mix for renewable diesel Neste Oil is now using distillers corn oil, a nonfood byproduct generated from ethanol production, as a new feedstock for its NExBTL renewable diesel. REG announces New York Harbor terminal position agreement REG announced it will offer biodiesel at the International-Matex Tank Terminals in Bayonne, N.J. in New York Harbor, one of the world's largest petroleum trading hubs. 	Nat'l Biodiesel Board adds Fenwick as new technical director As NBB's new technical director, Scott Fenwick takes on the day-to-day management responsibilities of running the technical program. Sapphire Energy pays off USDA government loan guarantee In December 2009, the company was awarded a $54.5 million loan guarantee through a USDA program to build a fully integrated, algae-to-crude oil commercial demo facility in New Mexico. Alaska Airlines to buy sustainable biojet from Hawaii BioEnergy Alaska Airlines and Hawaii BioEnergy signed an agreement for the purchase of sustainable biofuel for its aircraft.
