REG reports record biodiesel gallons sold in Q3 financials


REG sold 77.6 million gallons of biodiesel in Q3, an increase of 26 percent compared to Q3 in 2012. Revenues of $458.4 million increased 42 percent year over year. REG achieved adjusted EBITDA of $48.9 million and gross profit of $57.8 million.

Methes Energies hits biodiesel shipment milestone in October


Methes Energies International Ltd. announced Nov. 5 that 18 rail cars were shipped out of its Sombra, Ontario, biodiesel facility last month, totaling more than 485,000 gallons. This surpasses its previous record of eight rail cars shipped in April.

Darling International completes acquisition of Rothsay


Darling International completed its acquisition of Rothsay, the rendering and biodiesel division of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. The purchase price for the transaction was approximately $619 million in cash. Plans for the purchase were announced in August.
