NYC Mayor de Blasio signs biodiesel heating oil bill into law


New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio signed a major piece of legislation Oct. 18 that will significantly increase the volume of biodiesel in heating oil sold in within the city over the next two decades. Come 2034, B20 heating oil will be the standard.

HPB celebrates grand opening of biodiesel production plant


High Plains Bioenergy celebrated the grand opening of its newest biodiesel production plant, HPB-St. Joe Biodiesel, located in St. Joseph, Missouri, on Oct. 17. The plant will use vegetable oils as the primary feedstock to produce up to 28 MMgy.
