Bills aim to extend biodiesel, renewable diesel tax credit


Legislation introduced in the both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate on May 25 aims to extend the current blenders credit for biodiesel and renewable diesel for three years, through the end of 2025.

Inslee signs bill to implement CFS in Washington


Washington Gov. Jay Inslee on May 17 signed legislation that will create a state-wide Clean Fuel Standard that will limit the aggregate, overall greenhouse gas emissions per unit of transportation fuel energy to 20 percent below 2017 levels by 2035.

Seaboard Energy builds renewable diesel plant in Hugoton, Kansas


Seaboard Energy, a division of Seaboard Foods and a wholly owned subsidiary of Seaboard Corp., announced it is building a renewable diesel plant in Hugoton, Kansas. The facility is constructed at the former Abengoa ethanol plant site.
