	USDA maintains forecast for soybean oil use in biofuel production The USDA maintained its forecast for 2021-’22 soybean oil use in biofuel production in its latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, released April 8. USDA: US biodiesel imports down in February The U.S. exported 15,689 metric tons of biodiesel and biodiesel blends of B30 and greater in February, according to data released by the USDA on April 5. Biodiesel imports for the month were at 17,992 metric tons. READ MORE SHARE
ISG: Illinois Senate passes B20 legislation The Illinois Soybean Growers is celebrating the passage of the organization’s B20 legislation by the Illinois Senate. The bill transitions the sales tax incentive from 10 percent biodiesel blends to 19 percent. READ MORE SHARE
EIA: US biofuel capacity up in January, feedstock use down U.S. operable production capacity for fuel ethanol, biodiesel, and renewable diesel all increased in January, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on March 31. Twain closes $136 million ground lease for renewable diesel plant Twain Financial Partners has closed a $136 million ground purchase and leaseback arrangement for a renewable diesel plant under development in Reno, Nevada, by New Rise Renewables Reno LLC.
