Kinetrex Energy, WVPA begin construction on 3 RNG facilities

Kinetrex Energy, a Kinder Morgan Inc. company and Wabash Valley Power Alliance on Sept. 29 announced they have started construction activities for three previously announced renewable natural gas (RNG) facilities in Indiana.
Operable biofuel production capacity in the U.S. expanded slightly in July, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Sept. 30. Biodiesel capacity was up, while capacity for ethanol and other biofuels held steady.
The implementation of a low carbon fuel standard (LCFS) and expanded production and use of biogas are among the strategies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions discussed in the Pennsylvania Climate Action Plan 2021.
The USDA on Sept. 29 announced a new initiative to finance the deployment of climate-smart farming and forestry practices to aid in the marketing of climate-smart agricultural commodities. A public comment period is open through Nov. 1.

OMB schedules additional meetings on RFS proposal
