Petrobras on June 19 announced its board of directors has approved a $1.2 billion project to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel at its existing Presidente Bernardes Refinery (RPBC), located in Cubatão, São Paulo, Brazil.
EcoCeres announced the extension of its sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supply agreement with British Airways until the end of 2030. The SAF is produced from 100% waste-based feedstocks, such as used cooking oil (UCO).
The U.S. EPA on June 18 released data showing nearly 2.02 billion RINs were generated under the RFS in May, up nearly 4% when compared to the same month of last year. Total RIN generation for the first five months of 2026 reached 9.66 billion.
The U.S. EPA on June 18 released updated Renewable Fuel Standard data, reporting that no new small refinery exemption (SRE) petitions were filed under the program during the past month. A total of 40 SRE petitions remain pending.
Data released by the U.S. EPA on June 18 indicates D4, D5 and D6 RINs were trading at significantly higher prices in May 2026 than they were one year ago. The average price of D3 RINs was down slightly.
