The USDA on June 18 released data showing the cost of soybean production is expected to increase more than 4% this year, reaching $$683.89 per acre. Per-acre costs are currently expected to expand by an additional 3% in 2027.

The government of Alberta, Canada, on June 12 launched an effort to update its renewable fuels standard (RFS) program, which has been in effect since 2011. The province aims to implement updates by Jan. 1, 2028.
Braya Renewable Fuels on June 15 celebrated an exciting milestone for the Come By Chance refinery when it completed its first sale of renewable diesel for the Canadian market. The transaction was for 100,000 barrels of renewable diesel.
A comprehensive new study from S&P Global Energy finds expanded biofuel demand could transform American agriculture, reignite rural economies and provide global food and energy security. The study was commissioned by USFRA.
