BIO's Brent Erickson appointed to EBI advisory committee

Brent Erickson, executive vice president of the Biotechnology Industry Organization's Industrial and Environmental Section, was appointed to the advisory committee of the Energy Biosciences Institute. The EBI, a collaboration among the University of California, Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the University of Illinois and BP, was established in 2007 with a 10-year, $500 million grant from BP. Its mission is to harness advanced knowledge in biology, the physical sciences, engineering, and environmental and social sciences to devise viable solutions to global energy challenges and reduce the impact of fossil fuels to global warming.
