Biogold furthers biodiesel plans

From mid-November through December, Los Angeles-based Biogold Fuels Corp. made several business deals that advanced its plans to process municipal solid waste into a type of biodiesel. It licensed a proprietary separation process technology from Gemini Environmental. It began negotiations for a joint venture with an unnamed United Kingdom company to build waste-to-biodiesel plants in Europe. It also appointed Walter Wendland of Golden Grain Energy LLC, an 80 MMgy ethanol plant in Mason City, Iowa, to its board of directors.
