The U.S. exported 19,448 metric tons of biodiesel and biodiesel blends of B30 or greater in May, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on July 7. Biodiesel imports were at 5,886.4 metric tons for the month.
U.S. biofuel producers consumed 27.973 billion pounds of feedstock in April, down nearly 8% when compared to March, but up 4% when compared to April 2025, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on June 30.
A regulatory agenda released by the White House Office of Management and Budget on July 3 indicates the U.S. Department of the Treasury currently plans to issue final 45Z clean fuel production credit regulations in November 2026.
The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service on June 30 announced U.S. farmers planted an estimated 85.4 million acres of soybeans in 2025, up 5% when compared to last year. Planted acreage is up or unchanged in 20 of the 29 estimating states.
A new nationwide poll of more than 2,000 registered voters found a strong majority of Americans support the Renewable Fuel Standard and believe renewable fuel play a key role in enhancing national energy security.
