The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers on May 29 filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit challenging the U.S. EPA’s Renewable Fuel Standard “Set 2” rule, which was finalized by the agency in March.
U.S. biofuel producers consumed 30.193 billion pounds of feedstock in March, up nearly 12% when compared to February and up 6% when compared to March 2025, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on May 29.

Rhoads Energy has broken ground on new infrastructure that will expand access to biodiesel in the Pennsylvania region. The new infrastructure, slated to open in late July, will pump 100% biodiesel directly from rail cars to tanker trucks.
